Chelsea Market
New York, NY (15th St. and 10th Ave.)

In 1995, Irwin Cohen, developer of the renowned spectacular Chelsea Market, contracted with R&L Construction, a prolific flourishing construction company, to refurbish and restore this unique and historic space.

This incredibly high-level restoration rehabilitation development was brought to its current splendor through the skillful and careful site integration and construction processes of the R&L Construction team.

R&L Construction’s scheduling, coordination of trades, and ability to multi-task while producing exceptional finishes proved second to none.

R&L Construction aided in the creation of this magnificent interior arcade of food stores with million dollar lofts in this onetime downtrodden and forgotten factory district. To walk through the Chelsea Market is to stroll through a sort of postindustrial theme park, interspersed with food stores & restaurants.

Through a multi year relationship and $24 million collaboration with ATC Management, the Chelsea Market Project was born. In addition to the construction of the 20 plus food related and retail businesses, R&L Construction was the key implementer in the construction of the Food Network Studio, The Major League Baseball Offices, and Oxygen Media TV.
